Looking in on Yehoshua's darkened windows from the outside, you wouldn’t know that this bar is a pretty cool hangout. Don't let the fact that it's known by some as an Israeli-style pick-up bar scare you. This bar is one of the few places where mid-twenty-somethings to mid-thirty-somethings can enjoy drinks without the "pozot" or attitudes so often associated with some of the trendier Jerusalem hangouts. Yehoshua has a proper wooden bar, three bartenders constantly filling drinks, and high tables throughout. In true bar fashion you'll find people standing and moving – an anomaly in the strictly scripted behavior of Israeli gastro-bars. Good music, pretty people and the right lighting (just enough to check out your neighbors without having to squint or get caught) make this neighborhood drinking stop a place with "atmosphere" that you won’t find at many other places. Good for grabbing that first drink or going out with friends. A full, non-kosher menu is offered. Search Jerusalemite City Guide
