Gulindo offers cozy quarters, stylish décor, a quiet and intellectual crowd, good coffee and a full kosher dairy menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. By night, Gulindo takes on a distinctly hip vibe as it becomes crowded with the 20-something set, enjoying dinner and on-tap Belgian beers.

Jerusalem bars tend to aspire to being either nightlife hotspots or hipster dives. Slow Moshe is surely a member of the latter category, but it's also a "local," making the place an anomaly for the city. Owned and managed by the namesakingly leisurely Moshe Levi, this modest establishment is a hub of Nachlaot culture.

The Science museum is especially child-friendly, with its vaunted interactive exhibits explaining everything from the principles of construction and architecture (the charmingly-titled “Why Don't Buildings Fall Down?") to a look into man's probable future with "House on Mars."

The Armenian Quarter is the most enigmatic and secluded section of the Old City. The legacy of Armenian Christians in Jerusalem is as long as that of Armenian Christianity itself; by the time Armenia was declared a Christian state, Armenians were making regular pilgrimages to the Holy City.
