It's November, which in Jerusalem means Shlomo Carlebach tribute time. In honor of the anniversary of the singing rabbi's death, his followers will be breaking out their guitars throughout the city. In case you missed the actual anniversary, October 20th according to the secular calendar or the 16th of Cheshvan according to the Jews (which this year fell out on November 14th), the Jerusalem Folk Klub is hosting a tribute concert for the time-disadvantaged on November 22nd. The Saturday night concert will feature Folk Klub founders David and Rachael Orbach on guitar, clarinet and saxophone, as well as guest stars Bruce Brill, Shalev Ben Yaakov, Sharya Witt, Larry Brandt, Yosef Tayeb and Ben Reuven. Best of all, the event is free, so for all the cashed-strapped hippies out there, this concert's for you.
