Torah study activated at the Conservative Yeshiva

Lectures, Dance, Theater A Jerusalemite Pick The Conservative Yeshiva Agron St. 8 City Center/Mamilla 02 622–3116 November 13 2008 - February 05 2009 18:00 - 20:30 NIS 25 per class
Who says you can't combine Torah study with theater, dance and an in depth look at feminist liberation theology? Probably these guys. But I'll tell who does say you can do all that, and is embarking on a two-part 10 week series of "activated torah study". It's the Conservative Yeshiva. Dr. Bonna Devora Haberman, who has taught at such jewtastic institutions as Harvard, Brandies and Hebrew University, will attempt to combine all those aforementioned elements, culminating in a community theater event. Every Thursday, classes will delve into such topics as "On the fringe: Tzitzit", and "Blood & Ink: Birth & Exodus." Classes are open to both men and women, even if you aren't affiliated with the yeshiva. Organizers advise to bring comfortable clothes, a cup, bowl and spoon. Soup's on?
