Mike's Place feels like home to many members of the Jerusalem Anglo community as it features a five-hour happy hour from 16:00 until 21:00, billiards, and big sports monitors. The bar also offers live music nightly at 22:00 downstairs in a stone cave-like venue that, after hearing English all night over Jerusalem's only Tex-Mex bar food, serves as the sole reminder that you are still in the Middle East. Both the American year abroad Yeshiva students and the hipped out Carlbachian/Nachlaot crowd call the bar home, but welcome others as well. This week's lineup includes Jerusalem Blues Project, SOBO, D3 Redicalz, Open Mic Night, and a Jam Session.
