Germany and Israel have come a long way since...the unpleasantness. What used to be the just about the world's coldest diplomacy has given way to a rich cultural and economic exchange between the two countries - the streets of Israel are filled with Benzes, the streets of Germany are filled with hummus and disaffected Israeli anarchists, and the Carsten Daerr Trio is playing a set at the Yellow Submarine. The Berliners play jazz influenced more by the genre's European developments than American post-swing jazz, so expect something a little different.
