Deja vu all over again at Safra Squareby harry • June 05 2008
The annual JNF London-Jerusalem car rally ended yesterday in Safra Square with 27 fancy shmancy cars on display that are worth more money than most of us will see in our lives. The Jerusalem municipality won't win any rewards this year for originality, that's for sure. You might remember that for Israel's birthday they organized a group of 60-year-old Jerusalemites to stand in the shape of the number 60. Now they've taken it to a whole new level. They lined up the 27 luxurious automobiles in the shape of a 40 to celebrate 40 years of Jerusalem's reunification - despite it actually being 41 years.
