Dear Arcaffe, you disgust me and your customer service sucks

Dear Arcaffe

Nearly every morning on my way to work I stop at the Jerusalem branch for a cup of coffee. I am always satisfied and your employees are always very pleasant and make a customized outstanding cup of coffee. However today, I am sad to say, I had a bad experience.

I received my cappuccino and after taking a sip I noticed it was lukewarm - barely hot at all. I don't know if this is because the barman didn't steam the milk properly or used an espresso shot that was sitting around for a minute or two. I mentioned to the barman making the coffee that it was not hot at all and he said sarcastically "not hot at all, huh?" and  "he will warm it up." He took the cup and used the device that steams the milk to heat up the beverage. I was in complete shock. Not only is this completely unhygienic and disgusting but it completely ruined the taste of the coffee.

There are no shortage of options for good coffee in Jerusalem, but I pay a little extra for great coffee at Arcaffe. I know the standards at Arcaffe are incredibly high and you pride yourselves on a great product and service. Please inform your management at the Jerusalem branch about this practice. I will not be returning to Arcaffe and will tell my friends not to patronize your establishment until I hear from someone that this problem has been remedied.

Thank you.

Comments by ck: You sound shocked! Quality customer service in Israel, never mind Jerusalem, is a rarity. You kind of have to be assertive. Next time tell the barrista to make you another cup. THAT they understand. No Arcaffe for me!
Comments by harry: Well Arcaffe pride themselves on a superior product, so I expected a new cup. That is why I was so shocked.
Comments by titania177: Do Arcaffe have a tav chevrati? Maybe you can report them....
Comments by greg: I've had similar experiences at other chains. Perhaps in addition to nice uniforms and uniform decorum at all restaurants, management should stress service. I hope you asked to speak to a manager. My favorite response to that request is, "Why?"
Comments by harry: It was early, I was really tired and was quite shocked so I didn't say anything. Obviously I regretted it, but at the very least my email to corporate should have been acknowledged. Through the power of the interweb I will triumph!
Comments by greg: interweb....is there a tracey jordan fan in the house?
Comments by mosheh18: I ate breakfast there recently with my wife, while my breakfast was good and seemed fresh, her sandwich with goat cheese had been sitting too long on their shelf, she had severe food poisoning, and heard from an employee -friend who worked there that they do not throw out food that is no longer fresh, and you had better find another place to eat if you don't have an iron stomach.
Comments by batya: The sambooki on Yaffo wouldn't give me olive oil for my salad!

Comments by AdamHyman.net: You say, "Nearly every morning on my way to work I stop at the Jerusalem branch for a cup of coffee."

Then you have one bad experience and say, "you disgust me and your customer service sucks"

How much more do you suck, if this is the FIRST TIME I've read your blog? So you have a 100% SUCKING RECORD.

If you don't like it, don't eat there.
I don't like Harry, so I'm not going to read this blog again.
Comments by harry: Good riddance punk!
