What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and will change the way you use the Internet. Seriously. How many times a day do you visit your favorite websites checking for new content only to be disappointed by a lack of updates? RSS solves this problem and can prove to be a great time saver. Instead of you going to the content, the content comes to you. Think of it as an email program for website content. A good place to start is to take three minutes of your time and watch this video:

Next step is figuring out what program you want to use. There are a myriad of programs and websites available for aggregating content. Jerusalemite recommends both Bloglines, a very user-friendly web based application and Google Reader.

Jerusalemite offers three different RSS feeds. Our most popular feed is our blog feed, which brings you all the latest Jerusalem news in the areas of art, culture, food, urban planning, municipal news and more.

You can also stay completely up to date on concerts, tours, lectures, festivals and children’s events by subscribing to our event feed which is updated daily with Jerusalem’s latest happenings.

We are constantly updating our guides with the latest restaurants, bars, museums, site and landmarks and more. Click here to keep up to date with all the latest guide entries.
